~ ON RESERVE UNTIL 13/03/26 ~
Sol, Agua y el Kambuchi (‘Sun, Water and the Pitcher’) draws on the Guaraní word kambuchi, a traditional clay vessel used to carry water in Paraguay, often balanced on women’s heads in rural communities. Beyond its practical function, the kambuchi symbolises hospitality, abundance, and the life-giving power of water, reflecting Paraguay’s Indigenous roots and the enduring strength of its women.
In the painting, a woman stands between earth and sky, holding the sun in one hand and a kambuchi in the other. Light, water, and the female figure unite as sacred, life-sustaining forces—an embodiment of the Divine Feminine as creator, nurturer, and bridge between the earthly and the cosmic.
Materials ~ Acrylic and oil on reclaimed wood
Measuring ~ 60.5 x 75cm
Please select collection from the gallery if you are able to collect from Lewes or we will contact you after the sale to provide an accurate shipping quote based on your location.
