Gary Edwards is a queer artist currently based in Lewes.

His ceramics are informed by many external influences including his rural upbringing, the inspirational teachers he encountered as a student in the 70’s, a love of nature and the physical world in general.

Gary began making pots in 1972 and continued with considerable success until 1982 when he chose to stop. He took up making again in 2016 and sells his work at Oriel Mostyn, McCully & Crane, and Charleston Trust.

Gary and his partner run a shop and gallery space, Edwards & Todd, from their home on Lewes’s High Street.
