Denver Sorrell
Denver Sorrell is a prolific creator who’s visual language flows poetically between the aesthetic of mid-century post-war Western art in all it’s hedonistic exuberance and the Cubist figurative influences that have helped shape his bold style.
Of his own work, Denver comments, “My art is inseparable from my life, blurring the boundaries between paint and existence. Primarily a figurative painter, I am drawn to the enigmatic, crafting figures devoid of specific identity, yet rich in symbolism. Each amalgamated creation is simultaneously familiar and mysterious, inviting viewers into a realm of intrigue."
We were drawn to Denver’s mysterious beings, to their cosmic dance of darkness and light and to the beauty of their form.
