Individually drawn with layers of slip onto wet clay, this platter is inspired by the Greek myth of Persephone, the Goddess of Springtime. Abducted by Hades to become queen of the underworld, Persephone would return to her mother Demeter for half of the year; bringing Spring and Summer with her. This series of one-of-a-kind ceramic platters by Peggy Poppleton is part of The Southover Gallery’s Spring 2026 show inspired by The Divine Feminine.
